On Wednesday, Dec 4, 2024, during the International Conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modelling in Stockholm, Prof. Evangelia Kavakli participated in an engaging panel discussion: “Digital Twins and Industry 5.0 – Challenges and Outlook.”
She was joined by industry leader Anders Bergman (AstraZeneca) and Prof. Kurt Sandkuhl (University of Rostock), with the session chaired by Prof. Jānis Grabis (Riga Technical University).
The central question was “As Industry 5.0 prioritizes human-centric manufacturing, do we understand the interactions between humans and increasingly intelligent machines well enough? Can conceptual modeling bridge the gap?”
Prof. Kavakli highlighted the socio-contextual factors influencing the conceptualisation of Cyber-Physical Social Systems explored by CiLAB, sparking valuable insights into the future of human and machine collaboration.
