The Cultural Informatics Lab successfully participated in the 2024 Mediterranean Researcher’s Night, in Mytilene on September 27. This international event aiming to bring science closer to the public, drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of all ages eager to explore the engaging exhibits and hands-on demonstrations presented by the research labs of the University of the Aegean.
One of the highlights of the evening was the array of interactive robotics projects that captivated younger visitors. Designed to educate on the basics of programming, they sparked curiosity for technology and innovation among the children.
In addition, CILab showcased CILabot, its chatbot currently in development. CILabot engaged visitors in meaningful conversations about digital wellbeing and their perceptions on the use of digital technology. The insights gathered will further enrich CILab’s efforts to explore how technology can positively impact everyday life.
