New Technologies and Aspects of Representation

New perspectives on arts and humanity

The advent of new technologies has radically transformed the landscape of contemporary art. Beyond the traditional mediums of painting, sculpture, and music, artists now have access to a vast array of digital tools and platforms. These technologies, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence, allow for the creation of immersive, interactive, and often provocative works.

Within this broader cultural context, posthuman thinking has influenced contemporary artists, who often explore themes of identity, consciousness, and the nature of reality through their technological experiments. CiLAB collaborates with international organizations in creative exploration, experimentation and expression whilst at the same time engage in the production of new theories and critical frameworks to adequately analyze and understand these evolving artistic practices.
