On July 23, 2024, in the context of the research project “Digital wellbeing in the posthuman era: a critical approach,” a qualitative study was conducted with a focus group of individuals over the age of 65, involving members of the Senior Citizens Center (KAPI) of Mytilene. The meeting took place at the KAPI premises, located at 18 Asklipiou Street.

The discussion about the relationship between this age group and digital technology was of great interest. The participants enthusiastically expressed their views, concerns, and reflections, as well as their needs for digital education and literacy.

We warmly thank the participants for their enthusiastic involvement, the director of the KAPI, Ms. Krystalla Kasapi, for her hospitality and invaluable help in preparing the focus group, and the President of the Association for Social Protection & Solidarity of the Municipalities of Mytilene & Western Lesvos, Mr. Nikolaos Spanos, for approving the request to conduct the study and facilitating its implementation.

Ms. Kavakli is coordinating the focus group with members of the KAPI Mytilene.
With the President of the Association for Social Protection & Solidarity of the Municipalities of Mytilene & Western Lesvos, Mr. Nikolaos Spanos, and the head of the KAPI, Ms. Krystalla Kasapi.
